I've been writing my ass off these past two days! I've worked on Not So Safe, a new Craig and David story, plus a new fantasy-mystery. (More on that later.)
I wanted to work only on Not So Safe--at least until I finished the first draft. But that turned out to be counter-productive. Words flow more easily for me when I allow myself to jump around.
Any thoughts on that? What works for you?
I skip about a lot - I can't write in a straight line. But I am trying to stay focused on my one series (for which I have deadlines!) at the moment. Thankfully I have two more novels to write within that space, and I also skip backwards and forwards between scenes, a lot.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about skipping around scenes. I'd go crazy if I didn't let myself do that. (That's why I try to put together at least a bare-bones outline.)
ReplyDeleteI just looked up your book 'Rebellion.' Looks like an intriguing fantasy novel. It's now on my to-read list at Goodreads!
