Creative Draw of the Day: Three of Cups

I'm grumpy about this card. Yes, it's a gorgeous, happy picture--but it's taking me to task.

Cups grew up to be the hearts of our modern deck; they represent the element of water, which encompasses all of our emotions. In this case, the emotions have to do with joy, warm-heartedness and friendship as three women come together to dance and celebrate.

Sigh. That's a glaring reminder that I neglect my female characters. Yes, as a female writer, it's tough for me to admit this: I like my guy characters better. Time for me to start listening to the women in my stories so I can figure out what makes each of them tick . . .
